SUM SP16 Cannot start UI

Former Member

Hi,

I am trying to start SUM SP16 to do an upgrade of SAP Solution manager 7.1.
EHP2 for Netweaver 7.0 will also be patched at the same time.

After running the STARTUP confighostagent jvm6 command from prompt,
I try to start the UI by typing http://<server>:1128/lmsl/sumjava/<sapsid>/dual.html, but get the error
"The webpage cannot be found"

My SAP Host Agent is at 7.20 version and patch 33

Anyone has an idea what is going on?

Best regards,

Johan

Hi Johan,

Can you kindly check if you are using the Latest Version of HOST AGENT as per your system architecture?

Because I also initially facing the same scenario during my Java Upgrade.

I downloaded the latest Host Agent from Marketplace Version 7.21 SP 13 and initial version was 7.21 SP10.

You can give it a try as SAP recommends to use the latest version while running the SUM Tool.

Thanks and Regards

Anurag

Hello,

Have you followed below steps before starting SUM UI.

1.To start the Software Update Manager,

enter the following:

cd /usr/sap/<SID>/SUM

./STARTUP confighostagent <SID>

(Always call the script with the root user)

2.Restart the SAP Host Agent using the following commands:

cd /usr/sap/<SID>/SUM

<HOSTAGENT directory>/exe/saphostexec -restart

Regards.

Hi Johan,

Paste the log for haostagent.

Also telnet the port 1128 from the system from where are you running the url.

It may be port 1128 is not accessible from the system.

Hi Johan,

SAP Hostagent version which you are using is wrong.

You have to use SAPHostagent 721 with the latest patch.

Also check the port 1128 is accessible from your system or not
