template management permissions to check in this template

Hi,

Ancile UPerform version 5.20.5

I have created  new template. When  I check-in  template to the server  i receive   message:

"You do not have template management permissions to check in this template."

I have roles "uPerform System Administrators". What more permissions are necessary?

Since times version 4.40 we had no need to change templates.

Hi there,

The issue you are encountering may be due to not having a project setup on your uPerform server.

If you have not please follow these steps.

1. Log into the uPerform website as a System Administrator

2. Click the Projects link in the upper navigation

3. Click the New Project link in the left navigation.

4. Fill in the fields for the project, including Project Name

5. Click Save

Once the project is created, try checking in the template again to see if you have any success.

I have created new Project  ( though there are others projects ). The situation hasn't changed.

This steps I follow on client uPerform:

1. Create new template from Standard Author Template

2. Check-in  template 

  Here I receive message. On website (Server Adminitration -> uPerform Templates) have no new template.

3. When next time  I open  this local template  i receive question:

"The template XXX is based on a reverted version, has been modified locally, and is not valid.Would you like to download the latest version?"

If I click "Yes" then file is downloading long time  so far I won't press "Cancel"

Hi,

Have you tried to create a new template and retest with that?

Is it that you have the template on your local drive and want to

synchronize the template with that on server?

Have you checked the logs?

Hi,

I have checked the logs. I don't see error in the logs.

We have two servers,  on both servers  is impossible check-in new template.

I have attached logs, I have consistently executed:

at 15:30  - check-in new template  - with error

at 15:33  - check-in existing template  -  successful.

What can I make still?

Hi,

I'd actually recomment creating an SAP Support ticket as this looks to be strange behaviour.

It's an interesting problem.

Maybe when you get solution you could quickly share it with the forum so as to help us for future reference.

I have sent SAP incident.

The mistake is banal. The version missmatch between client and server.
