How to read PDF and XLS files into XML format by PI?

We are on PI 7.31 version.

What is the best solution to convert PDF and XLS files into XML formats?

There are multiple ways to convert XLS to XML, please refer the below blogs

for incoming PDF refer the below links

Hi Harish,

For reading PDF files, the first link is not supported in PI7.31 any longer. And to deploy the content conversion agent on separate sever for all the PI environments for just one scenario is not cost effective.

And the second link , there are different contents to be retrieved from the PDF file not only the tag name "details".

Is there any other way to read PDF files as an email attachment?
