Service PP_PRODOPS_RELEASE_SRV is not found

Hello all,

I have implemented Production Supervisor app in fiori but in release production operation catalog i got error

to resolve this error i try to find out this service in  /iwfnd/maint_service>add services>local alias

but the service is not available over there.

My system is having all the required updates for the regarding services.

Here I'm sharing error log for detail about error.

Please suggest any solution.

Please make sure that the below component is installed on your system.

I already have the software component SAP_APPL but instate of SP9 I have SP3.

Is it happening because of lower SP-level ?

Hi

It should not happen becuase of sp level.

Atleast you should be able to see the service.

Please check whether the service is already added or not in the tcode "/iwfnd/maint_service"

Provide a screenshot of the same.

Also, are you using embedded system approach i.e. frontend and backend components are on one system only?

Hey Sarbjeet,

We are using Embedded architecture. I have perform the gateway maintain service transaction and clicked on add service and try to get the service but its showing that No backend service found.

Actually the service of same group 'PP_PRODOPS_CONFIRM_SRV' has been installed successfully but 'PP_PRODOPS_RELEASE_SRV' is missing.

Please refer to SAP note 1997164 & follow all the steps mentioned in the same.

I believe you have already followed this note.

In that case , please raise it to SAP thru an OSS incident and mention note reference.

Hi Shubham ,

I have tried the resolution provided in note but even i am unable to find the service in /IWBEP/REG_SERVICE as mentioned in note. On the other hand I tried to install the note but note browser is showing status that the note cannot be implemented.

Check some more things

1. Check if there are any missing authorizations for the user id you are using

2. Check if the "LOCAL" system alias is configured properly as below.

3. check if you can update the sp level of the component sap_appl 617

Hi Sarbjeet,

     I have checked the things you mentioned. The user id having all required authorizations and the alias is also configured same as you have shown. Now it seems to update SP level. hopefully that should work.

     Can we add this service manually by /IWBEP/REG_SERVICE transaction into the backend system? or is there any other way to add that particular service only?

In that case please upgrade your component to sp4 atleast.

then use the below note.
