Hi,
My project does not have a PI Product and we are using our SOAP web services directly through SOAMANAGER and outside interfaces.
We got a WSDL from a new partner application, and after setting up the consumer proxy, when we are testing the connection at SM59(Under HTTP Connections), we are getting a status response as 415(Unsupported Media Type)
After doing a lot of research, i found out that we need to check the SOAP/HTTP Header to ensure that we are sending the request in the right format as required by the receiver. How, can we check the request or the actual response coming from an external HTTP System.
a) Is there any trace available within SAP?
b) Can SXMB_MONI be used in this case to check the XML Payload
c) What other ways do you suggest for troubleshooting this probem
Thanks
Sahil
Hello Sahil,
Guess your monitoring the webservice from SAP ECC .

Hi Bhavesh and Raghu,
Thank You very much for your inputs. Although, SRT_MONI is not available in my version of ECC. Although, SRT_UTIL and SRT_MONITOR are available.
Is there any way to analyze XML Messages being received without any PI system.
Thanks
Sahil

Hi Raghu,
I am trying to call a vertex web service through SAP.
Now, when i try to execute the client proxy with SAP, i get the message "Call Successful-Empty Result".
But When, i try to send the same request through XMLSpy/SOAP UI, I am getting relevant results back.
When i looked into SM59 for the corresponding HTTP Destination, the connection test returned status code 415.
When i ran transaction SXMB_MONI, i got no results.( Note: We don't have a PI System)
Kindly, help me out on this.
Thanks
Sahil
Hi Raghu,
I found the issue. It was in the response proxy structure where a Date Field was returning Time Stamp values. So, the solution was to edit the response structure. But we need SPROXY for that.
Currently, we dont have a PI System, so trying to set up an ESR on NW CE 7.1.
Kindly, provide your inputs for another question here:
Thanks
Sahil
