SAPOSCOL command not found

Dear

In ST06 when we run it won't show any calculation when I run OS command from SIDADM saposcol -l saposcol -k it says command not found

what could be the reason

Hi Rajendra,

You can check saposcol status in ST06 --> Operating system collector --> Status.

Also check if you have /usr/sap/hostctrl folder if yes the you will have host agent running instead of saposcol.

We do not have hostctrl in the path /usr/sap/hostctrl

Hi,

Go to exe folder /usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe you will find saposcol executable in there.

From that location run below command to see if saposcol is running.


saposcol -l : Start/Launch OS Collector

saposcol -k : Stop OS Collecto

saposcol -s : OScol satus

Hi,

Few things to check

1. Do you have saposcol file in exe folder?

     If yes, is the owner and permisson set correct. Owner should be root.

     If no, copy the file from other server and try.

2. Does the /usr/sap/tmp/dev_coll file exists?

3. Check the environment variable, if it is set correctly.

In our development we have /usr/sap/saphostctrl but in qua no such file can I copy this to qua server

which file need to be copied
