NW version dependencies between the backend and the Front End Server for Fiori

Hello Experts,

We are in the process of planning for a FES for Fiori (Hub deployment) in our landscape. While our backend ERP Systems are on SAP NW 7.4 SPS 14, we wanted to decide the right NW version for the FES. While we plan to run the dependency check in SolMan, are there any known dependencies or rather compatibilities published?

We are looking for specific guidance on this combination - Backend ERP Systems on SAP NW 7.4 SPS 14 and FES on SAP NW 7.5 SPS 01 / 02. Please advise.

Ramesh,

From Gateway perspective, your ERP system cannot be at a higher level than the Hub system. So you can easily go with 750 hub system with 740 ERP.

Hi Ramesh,

I think there is no such mandatory dependency between front end and backend systems. Front end will have core NWG components and app specific front end components. and backend system will have backend component.

There will be dependencies within a system but not on the other system.

This also enables us to use one central hub front end to connect to various backend systems of different versions.
