iOS Fiori Client to display document type .docx .xlsx

Dear All,

Is it actually possible to display the attachment via iOS Fiori client with the document file extension for .docx and .xlsx? I've tried using the client and it doesn't shows anything while using browser, it shows does not support.

Hi,

Are you trying to open the .DOCX/.XLSX file attachments in your Fiori app from browser or Fiori Client in your iOS device? I have a custom Fiori app which displays attachments fetched from the backend in the app and when I open the .DOCX and .XLSX file types these are opened inplace in the attachmentViewer of Fiori Client.

Which Fiori Client version are you using? Also what is the iOS version?

Hi Saurabh,

Yes I'm trying to open .DOCX/.XLSX file attachments in my Fiori app via Fiori Client, it shows me a blank page and if via browser, it shows me not supported.

The Fiori Client I am using is version 1.6.4.

I've tested with both iOS 9.2.1 & 9.3.1

Are you able to open the same .DOCX & .XLSX file attachments without any issue on a desktop/laptop?

Hi Saurabh,

No issue opening the file using desktop/laptop browser.
