Hello,
I need to create a document that contains a link to consult documents stored in différents systems (outside of SAP).
Currently I haven't found the way to customize a new document type that allows me to define a link to access documents outside of SAP.
Has anyone allready had this problem?
And what was the solution found?
I don't want to do any programming I just want to use the standard possibilities.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Stéphane
Hi Stephane,
Please have a look into below wiki link
Linking URL pages to Documents - Product Lifecycle Management - SCN Wiki
Hope this helps.

Hello Deepak,
Thank you very much for the answer, it was very helpful.
I'm sorry for my late reply, but it wasn't me that treated the customizing in SAP (an IT colleague).
I have another question concerning this subject:
Is it possible to close the locks for each link ?
If yes how?
Looking forward to your answer.
Stéphane
Hi Stéphane,
it seems that you find how to create a link in a DIR to an external documents (stored in an ECM system or files system)...
Regarding the question "how to close the lock", this not possible here. It's only possible when the documents are stored in the SAP Contentserver.
