Alert mail is not triggered to user inbox for CBMA

Hello experts,

I am trying to configure the CBMA alerts.

I have done the full configuration and CBMA alerts are getting created in my system but no alert mail triggered.

Can any one help me out why alert mail is not triggered to user inbox ???

Hi Narasimha,

As per the SAP Note: 2122500, there was a programming error, so ask your basis team to update the required support packages and patches.

In the meantime, while creating a task,you have to maintain the same user email id for both MailFrom: and MailTo parameters.

You can try this step and it works..

Yes..the alert mail was triggered to user inbox when i was given the same mail id  for both ' from ' and ' to' address. But if you want to send alerts to multiple users from address will not accept.


anyway basis team working on it ...waiting for response ...

Hi Narasimha,

We faced the similar issue, please find the below SAP Note which resolved our issue.

SAP Note: "2122500 - Alerting: wrong mail receiver in e-mail consumer job".

Hi,

As a work around can you please check below:

1) Check SXMSALERT_LOGREADER if report any alerts are created?

2) Check the tcode st22 for any dumb.

Hi Tomar,

He configured CBMA not old alert framework, SXMSALERT_LOGREADER is for old alert framework not for CBMA.

Hi Praveen,

Thanks for your information..!! I worked on old Alert framework so thought may be not much difference is there in both, apart from component base message search functionality.

Also ensure you added the type of alerts in the Integration directory and ensure alert is active in the ID.

Alert was already in active state and alert type also fine.

Hello Narasimha

One more check,Ensure e-mail Id is correct.We had the issue because of wrong mail id and domain.

Is job log in NWA is saying n alerts had been consumed and aggregated successfully?

Did you maintain smtp details in java mail service in nwa??

Hi Praveen,

I have maintained all smtp details in java mail service in nwa.

Alerts are getting consumed but alert mails are not going to the user inbox.

Hi

Check the inbox of mail from parameter if this note is applicable to your system 2122500 - Alerting: wrong mail receiver in e-mail consumer job
