Hello Guru's,
Can we restrict a resource capacity utilization based on material?
For Eg : Product A should only use 20% of capacity and product B uses 80% of the capacity.
Regards,
Nick
NO.. then it would basically be a resource per product.

Hello Ken,
what i was looking for is if we have a resource A is there any way I can restrict a product B to utilize no more that 50% capacity of resource A and product B can utilize the rest 50% .
Is this a possibility in APO like can we use anything like soft sequences or something ?? Thank you for your help
Regards,
Nick
Hi,
You can try the following steps:
1. Create 2 dummy resource.
2. define the capacity based on you requirement, let's say 20% for A and 80 % B. . But the 20% capacity of dummy resource 1 is 100% capacity of the main resource. Similar things for 2nd dummy resource.
3. Assign these dummy resources into their corresponding PPM, with fixed consumption. ( Here you need to do a bit tweaking wile defining the consumption)
4. Run the SNP engine.
SNP engine will consume the capacity both resource in the PPM ( Main and Dummy). As the dummy resource capacity is 20% of main resource, once the dummy resource is fully consumed the main resource will be consumed by 20%.
let me know for more clarification.
regards
Kishor
