PP/DS resource sync two products at same time if char match, how to?

I vaguely recall there is some synchronization  functionality possible in PPDS  Say a resource can run two products at the same time if they match some characteristics. Does anyone have any white paper or such on this topic?

Paul,

We use synchronization function where the two operation on separate resources need to run together( start and end at same time) Function is available for multi resource in time cont tab. You can also control it through PPM.

I don't think it will have any adverse effect when you use CDP chars. But if you are using block planning and CTP with end of the block confirmation then you can't use synchronization.

for running two products same time enhance the heuristic so they can paired together.
