WBS with Budget in Interface

Hi,

We have a 3rd party tool for time management and the interface sends only the valid WBS element to the 3rd party tool for entering time.

The WBS with status DLFL, CLSD, TECO & ISBD is not sent to the tool as required..

But now we are facing an issue because of status ISBD..

As per Standard SAP, ISBD is getting triggered in WBS elements when it reaches its first tolerance limit (80% is our 1st tolerance limit)..

So, we are not able to use the remaining 25% of the budget (105% is our 3rd tolerance limit) for the Time management tool.

It is not possible to change the SAP standard behavior of ISBD to 3rd tolerance limit...

Can you please suggest a status or solution where the 3rd party tool will receive all the WBS Elements which has 105% of budget value.

Thanks,

Deepa

Hi Deepa,

It will not solve your issue, because the posting can fail in ECC anyway if you have an error message as 3rd limit.

When people are reporting time, they just reflect something that took place already.  It is not their issue that there is no sufficient budget, therefore the cost has to be registered regardless ISBD.

Paulo

Hi Deepa,

You can create a status selection profile for WBS to exclude DLFL, CLSD, TECO  but to include ISBD, this would give you all valid wbs elments for the purpose of sending to 3rd party tool.

As correctly mentioned by Paulo, the status ISBD should still allow you to post time unless it touched the 3rd threshold limit.

Hope this helps

Hi Raghu,

But the interface will block all the wbs with status ISBD and the WBS itself will not be visible in the 3rd party tool..

If we are removing ISBD Status from Interface program condition, then there is a change that the time entered in the 3rd party tool may exceed the budget(more than 105%)..

I need an idea on how the 3rd party tool will restrict the timesheet entry at 105% of Budget.

Thanks,

Deepa

Hi Deepa,

Even a 1st party tool (CATS) will not do that.  Remember that you are registering just quantities, pricing comes from SAP.
