Agentry - Eclipse Crashes very frequently while Saving

Hi All,

I am working on the SAP Work Manager application.

Issue - Eclipse crashes very frequently, while i am saving the changes to Eclipse.

I have tried in below versions, but still the same issue.

Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers.

Eclipse - 64 bit - eclipse-jee-juno-SR2-win32-x86_64

Version: Juno Service Release 2

Build id: 20130225-0426

Agentry Editor plugin - 70.11.0.5

Data tool platform installed - dtp_1.10.2

OS - 64 bit versions

Eclipse SDK

Eclipse - 64 bit - eclipse-SDK-4.2.2-win32-x86_64

Version: 4.2.2

Build id: M20130204-1200

Agentry Editor plugin - 70.11.0.5

Data tool platform installed - dtp_1.10.2

OS - 64 bit versions

Java Runtime version:

C:\Users\Ela>java -version

java version "1.7.0_55"

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_55-b13)

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.55-b03, mixed mode)

The machine has enough memory - 8GB RAM and available memory is more than 4GB RAM.

Elavarasan,

Some suggestion that we can share are as follows:

- From support, we have not seen customers from the field complained about Editor crash for a long time (Since Agentry 6.X).

- One thing to try if there is something wrong with the Workspace or directory that you are using is to create a new Workspace in a different directory as one technique.  Hopefully this quick technique can help prevent crashes tied to that diskspace.

Questions:

1) How big is the application you are trying to save?

2) What publish type did you choose in the Eclipse Editor?

3) Are you using Team Share? - there is a current issue known on team share.

4) Where you using an older SAP Work Manager version like 5.0, 5.1, 5.3 for your newer SMP 3.0 SDK SP11 PL05?  - Could be that the version may be too old that could be contributing to the problem?
