Error While Saving NC on NWDI

Hello Experts,

I am in the process of saving an SC when the following error appears:

Unable to save development configuration: Unable to create workspace "xxxxxx" on repository "http://<host>:<port>/dtr" using user "NWDI_CMSADM" [DICONF_CREATEWORKSPACE]: Not implemented"

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Johnny

Hello Johnny,

1. Please confirm you are able to access this workspace from the browser with this user.

2. If not - please make sure the NWDI_CMSADM is a member of NWDI.Administrators (NWA - Identity Management)

3. Else, is it possible to examine the ACL (access lists) for the specific DTR workspace ?

4. Next thing to consider:

would you please edit and resave the track (open a track in CMS >>> Landscape Configurator, delete SC and add the same SC again. Save).

This will recreate the CBS buildspace.

5.

If this does not help, please try to Initialize the buildspace.

Using the CBS Buildspace Details View  - Intersting Section: Initialize Compartment Button

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/6b/2b62404fb6cd01e10000000a155106/content.htm?ramese...

By doing so, the DTR workspace will not be changed. Usually the most frequent problem is the connection/assignment between DTR and CBS.

The CBS stores only building result, i.e, nothing will be lost, but if you delete SC or DC, the source stored in DTR might get lost.

6.

When CBS is supposed to process requests on some DTR workspace, it first needs to have ownership of it.

This ownership is maintained as a DTR property on the workspace (called x:owner-buildspace or similar).

When this property points to some other build space, then CBS will not be able to take ownership.

If it is empty, however, then deleting and recreating the build space will help.

If it is not empty, point 4. in the solution in note 1127973 - CBS Buildspace ownership problems helps.

This is also summarized in this TSG entry:

http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/%28NWDI%29%28CBS%29+Cannot+instantiate+buildspace+admin...

Please go through all the DTR workspaces relating to the problematic buildspace and make sure DTR x:owner-buildspace points to the correct CBS buildspace.

Hi Milen,

Thanks for your help.

Since I am fairly new to the NWDI setup, would you please let me know how to " examine the ACL (access lists) for the specific DTR workspace"?

Also I don't have any idea how to check the CBS Buildspace Details view since my http://<host name>:<port number>/devinf does not work(is there any setup steps I missed)?

Your further help would be really appreciated.

Hi Milen,

Actually the "  Error: Requested resource does not exist." happened to some other useful links as well like http://<host name>:<port number>/dtr and http://<host name>:<port number>/tc.CBS.Appl.

Can you please advise me if there is anything I should do to fix it?

Hello,

All the above links are quite fundamental.

So fundamental that if you are not able to access them then you do not have access to the NWDI at all.

Please contact your network administrator and make sure you have the correct network settings and also that you do enter the correct host and port.

Please make sure that the AS Java, where the NWDI has to operate, is up and running.
