SAP ECC migration to HANA

Hi All,

I am new to this community as well as to SAP HANA.

I wondering, if we migrate SAP ECC DB to SAP HANA, do we still require data provisioning from ECC to HANA?

technically after migration ECC data sits in HANA. so my understanding is we will be able to fetch the data directly  for information modules.

Please give me detail idea on migration in DB perspective.

Thanks,

Sahana

Hi

YES, After migrating ECC Tables to SAP HANA we should use SLT or BODS for Data provisioning depending upon requirements. (real time replication or scheduled data loads)

Hello

I will share few document links which you need to go through in detail.

Also read Section 2.4 of SAP HANA master guide.

Hi Shubham,

Thank you for the document. But my question is, do we require data provisioning when ECC is migrated to HANA?

Any document which explains "how to use ECC data after migrated to HANA" would be helpful.

Thanks,

Sahana

Hi Sahana,

In your case, you will use HANA DB as a primary persistence not a side-car, In my opinion, you do not need to additional data provisioning for ECC consuming its underlying data.
