FICO ALE distribution for PPM

Hello,

With PPM in a stand alone, I need to get cost center and cost element from the ECC back end. There is ALE for this.

I can not find documentation dedicated to PPM case ?

Someone has this kind of documentation ?

Hello Dali,

I do not see any business scenario for distributing this data to the PPM system (indeed if PPM is not installed together with ERP, you will have any of the controlling tables or transactions on the PPM system, meaning that this would be technically impossible).

Both Project Management and Portfolio Management include integration with ERP for costing, this is done via RFC calls to the ERP system which fetch the costing data. There is no need to distribute the CO master data or customizing for this.

Thanks again for your help.

The scenario is to colelct actual costs from ERP by cost element (to separate for example CAPEX from OPEX). I thought that cost elements must exist in PPM in order to indicate them in the RFC customizing (base system interface > Define Financial setting). But not ! We can indicate them on a "hard" way ! The same for cost centers.
