how to store input history path in sap gui 740 and Windows 8

I changed the history path of the SAPGUI as described in:

The problem is now that this is only valid while I am still logged on at Windows.

Every time I log off (Windows 8), the setting is lost;

When the setting is lost, a very old setting re-appears at the next log on.

(I repeated this 3 times - always the same problem)

Do you know where this setting is stored in Windows, and/or how to change it permanently?

Hello Armin,

This is stored in the Windows Registry.

Just open regedit application and go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\LocalData\DataPath

DataPath stores the path to the history directory.
