HANA database recover fail

Hi All,

While performing database recovery using HANA studio i am facing below error.

RECOVER DATA finished with error:

recovery could not be completed,

Recovery failed in nameserver startup: convert topology failed: found multiple instance numbers in topology

Could not start master name server

Please help on this

Dear Narender,

Hope you are doing good.

This issue seems to be fixed with Revision 111 as per SAP Note 2265765 - SAP HANA SPS 11 Database Revision 111.

Please see:

Note   2244930 - Rev 110 Takeover on system replication primary site + restart can lead to corrupted nameserver topology

The issue will be resolved in Revision 111

Hi Hemanth,

Thanks for reply on this , i have went through the notes.

I am in middle of recover process since this recovery has failed i am unable to start database . Could you please help me in recovering this database once i recover the database i will upgrade from 110 to 111.

Now i am struck in this phase , please let me know how to fix this issue in current phase. I am unable to locate this file "DIR_GLOBAL/hdb/sr_takeover.sem"
