We are planning to implement HANA dynamic tiering in our HANA landscape. Whether Sybase IQ can be used as the dynamic tiering layer? If so, how do we integrate it with HANA for dynamic tiering? Please provide document links for the same.
Thanks for the replies. Do you mean SAP IQ instance needs to be installed separately, connect it with HANA & use it as dynamic tiering for storing warm data? But all the documents that I have read, states that DT is like another HANA node and installed using HANA lifecycle manager. I just want to understand the relation between HANA DT & IQ.

With the correct licensing you can download and install HANA DT using the Lifecycle Manager in your HANA install.
Current SPS11 can also access a separate IQ instance as well.

You will also need DWF to manage the creation of the archiving jobs and union views.
