Create network by using milestone functions

i am trying to create network,using milestone functions in project builder

Could you please help me ?

Hi Hemu,

To do that you need to create the Milestone for the activities.. use the Miletsone function tab to check the Create Network function..Set the status for when you want the new network to be added to the structure..Add the Std. Network from which the new network needs to be created..

Once all these settings are done you are good to go..

At what instance you want to trigger the milestone function to create the Network

By using below, system will propose to create a new network, as an example, i am creating the network during CNF status of the activity

Hi Hemu,

What is your requirement, can you please brief ? At what instance you want to create the network etc. I dont think a document.

Step 1: Define Milestone Usage in Config

Step 2: Create Standard Network and maintain relevant details

Step 3: Create a Project - Network - Network Activities

Step 4: Assign the milestone to activity and enter the usage maintained in config.

Step 5: In Milestone, Check Milestone functions in Basic data tab

Step 6: in Milestone, Select Functions Tab (Make sure Functions is checked) and click Create Network. Enter the System Status at which this milestone function to be triggered (network to be created), Maintain Status Change

Step 7: Enter the Standard Network and Network Type

Step 8: Save the Network / Project

Now, if you have used the system status as CNF, when you confirm the activity (which has the milestone function) system will pop up a message to display milestone function and by accepting, you will be creating a network.

Follow these steps and let me know if you get any error

Hi Hemu,

create a new Network and you can add the milestone either by clicking on the Milestone icon or by right clicking on the created network, you can configure the usage of the milestone then.
