Hi Guys,

I am facing a situation in product allocation.

Product allocation for the CVC is 100 , where as incoming order qty is 102, and shortage is 2. As per the product allocation process, the sales order quantity can not be higher than allocated qty. can you guys can through some light what will cause this inconsistency.

???? That is not how Product Allocation works.  The customer can enter any order for any quantity. However, the confirmed quantity of the order should be prevented from exceeding the allocation quantity.

If you need to limit the sales order quantity, then you should use some functionality other than Product Allocation.

If you are talking about the Key Figure "Incoming Order Quantity", then the most common reason it is possible to have confirmations higher than the allocation quantity is the consumption settings in Product allocation.  The order may be consuming available allocation from other time buckets..
