Extend the Search in SAP Employee Lookup

Hi all,

I would need to extend the search field from Employee Lookup Fiori app:

By default, you can only search by Employee Name... but I should be able to search for more fields, like Position, Department, Employee Number...

Can I extend the Fiori app to add this functionality?

I read the App Extensibility doc (App Extensibility: Employee Lookup - SAP Fiori 1.0 for SAP ERP HCM - SAP Library), but I didn't read anything for my requirements...

Hi Miguel,

When the provided extensibility options doesn't suit your requirement, you have the option to replace std view with custom view (sap.ui.viewReplacements)

Yes, I always have this option of replacement, I know it... But maybe someone knows if it's possible to extend it instead of replace it 🙂 The doc is a little bit confused (for me)... If not possible, we will replace it.
