Hello,
I have Installed SAP Solution Manager 7.1, OS is Linux and Database is Oracle 11.2.0.3. After the Installation i have performed general post installation steps of SAP system, example: Installed SAP License, TMS configured, Installed and Configured Router..etc.
My requests are:
-> Can i perform SPS 14 upgrade before Configuring Solution Manger 7.1.
-> If yes can i use the SPS 14 which has come along with Solution Manger 7.1 DVD.
-> Please share if there are any additional prerequisites for SM 7.1 upgrade to SPS 14 which are not mentioned in Service Market Place.
Thank you,
Narendra.
Hi Narendra,
I had done a similar installation and upgrade of solman.
I instlled and then did post installation steps. Did not configure solman_setup and upgraded to latest SPS14 with DVD. stack.xml from dvd worked. After the upgrade , perform the post upgrade activities and setup.
Pre-requisites should be mentioned in guides itself.
Best Regards,
Guarav

Hello Narendra
you can upgrade it to SP14 but system would look for New kernels as well as updated SPAM/SAINT version.
If they are on current version.
Best practice is to Upgrade and perform Post installation configuration of Solution manager system that is solman_setup.
Please go ahead and upgrade with SP14.
Regards
Anand
