Coding Standards for SAP HANA S4

Hi,

if you mean a guideline for S/4 customer enhancements: this is the place to go (that could be easily found via google :-)):

If you mean ABAP guidelines how to develop a S/4 application (including all the stuff like key user extensibility): there are none (only SAP internally)

I have the former document which you posted( yes google works and we all know)

Looking for ABAB guidelines for HANA. As an example : Do not use select *. This is a general example. In case you are looking for I did see one but maybe there is someone who has more guidelines. Refer below

Hi Dishant,

the blog you referenced refers to HANA native development. It can be transferred to some extent to ABAP development, but does definitely not serve as ABAP development guideline for S/4 HANA

You should clearly state what you are looking for::

• HANA Native development, modelling etc. => refer to the guidelines available at SAP HANA Platform (Core) – SAP Help Portal Page.
  This has nearly nothing to do with S/4HANA development that is strictly ABAP based
• ABAP on HANA (Code Push Down) => here I would recommend the openSAP course on that type of development (ABAP Development for SAP HANA - Dr. Jasmin Gruschke and Jens Weiler). This has to be enriched a bit by the new Netweaver functionality of table functions (ABAP News for Release 7.50 - CDS Table Function... | SCN)
  Is relevant for S/4 but represents only a subset of the concepts
• "Real" S/4 HANA development (I am not talking about enhancements) including simplification, the principle of one (e. g. for the frameworks), draft concept etc.
  => Up to now there is no public guideline for this type of development
