MDG-F workflow not working

Dear all,

we are working in configuring MDG-F for Gl accounts, we are using the standard forms and workflows but apparently something is not working fine with our workflows as in the second step of WS7570040 the CR get stuck there , and we can´t process it . We have followed the standard configuration but it is still there with no progress.

Hi Antonio,

There could be many reasons that the workflow is failing.

1. WF-BATCH user locked/initial password not set - Check with BASIS/Security folks if WF-BATCH user setup is fine.

2. Your are using a different change request type than the one you had assigned processors - Check the change request type used for your change request number in USMD120C table.

3. If the above two are fine then you can click on the workflow log button on the change request and then click on the background steps button to see what is wrong in the background.

If you can post the screenshot of background steps then it will be easy to narrow down the issue.

Please update the TS 60807954 to General task in component CA-MDG-AF .

Dear all,

after changing WF-BATCH to have a sap_all and reviewing some settings we identified that one of the tasks in CA-MDG-AF was set back to general. Now it is working and we can post to staging tables.

Dear all,

our WF-BATCH apparently has a SAP_ALL and the SWU3 is like below

The configuration in both systems is cloned, so there is no difference, so we have no idea what is happening that can be under our control. Do anyone have idea about something that basis could have forgotten?

Can you try WF template WS75700027 instead of WS75700040 once and check ?

Dear all,

we are exploring the option of WF-BATCH user, we have a sandbox instance and the same configuration is working so our BASIS team perhaps they have not made the right settings, we have limited options as they dont allow us to get access to logs... we only see in SWDP that the workflow is not processed and in our screen that the buttons to finalize the task are not appearing like in the sandbox system

Hi Antonio,

If you don't see any steps when u click on the background steps button on workflow log window then it is definitely WF-BATCH issue. That is the easiest way to confirm.

Hi Antonio,

Please ask Basis team to check the Work Flow configuration once in transaction SWU3.

It should be as shown below:

Please check whether workflow 40 has general task as I can't see workflow 40.
