Reports are deleted automatically in folders while migrating through promotion management

Hi Team,

We are using BI 4.0 SP10 with SAP source systems - One of the Admin team have migrated the report from QA to Prod through promotion management, but in that process the other reports are deleted automatically in the same folder except the migrated one.

Audit reports can show only the particular user, deleted reports in particular time.

Is there any chance to know, why did just one report remain and other reports get deleted automatically?

Promotion management will not delete the folders or reports while promoting the objects. There might have been accidental delete.

you are correct. But the Team is confident that they didnt touched the reports in folders except this promotion management migration.

Can we get the information on logs as these are deleted by any action?

IF you have Auditing enabled pull the information though Auditing.

We have enabled Audit and through aduit we can get the info of deleted user, time, report and type of report. But not how it is deleted?

First find out which user ID delete, then if that user id has delete rights or not.

if that user ID has delete rights then he might have done it manually by mistake or through java script where that user ID is used.

Time stamp will also help you understand the activity of that user at the particular time.

P.S remove Delete rights from Everyone on Top Level Folder.

Team is using Administrator account for migrations from QA to PROD. So, User confirmed as he didn't deleted manually and time stamp for deleted reports are in different timings.
