SAP PI/XI Fault Message Type in File(sender) to Idoc(R3 receiver) scenario?

Hello All,

        I am having a file to idoc (MBGMCR01) scenario in SAP PI, Where in I came across the concept Fault Message, Can this be used in the scenario where idoc being the target ? also please explain the importance of fault message type in PI?

Hi Selvaganesh,

Generally fault message types is used for proxy messages not for IDocs, for IDocs you can use negative acknowledgements using ALEAUD IDoc type.
