Hi,
We're trying to allocate a work center to an internal activity of our project in Project Builder and calculate the activity duration required for the number of work hours specified. This works fine for an individual work center (eg. CNC EDM1, CNC EDM2, etc.) but when we assign a group work center (eg. CNC EDM), it is still considering it as an individual work center and calculating the duration accordingly.
We have created the hierarchy in CR21, but it only recognizes it in CM01 when we put a check on Cumulation of Reqmts and Cumulation of Capacity, and give the hierarchy name. We would prefer to run this planning from the Project Builder itself.
For the group work center capacity if we assign number of individual capacities as more than 1, then it doesn't help if the individual work centers have different capacities.
Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Pratap

Hello
Please refer to above link.
Individual work center's capacity maintenance when considered as a part of group is a manual adjustment task .
However , you may use reference capacities and maintain pool capacity for individual work centers.
Hope it helps.

Hi Shubham,
Thanks for your quick reply. I did not understand this part - "Maintain the available capacity as a sum of the assigned individual work center capacities". How is this done? As of now except in CM01 I'm unable to cumulate the capacities of the individual work centers even after creating a hierarchy. What did I miss?
Thanks,
Pratap
Hi Shubham,
Sorry for the late reply. We found a method for this. We maintain the number of individual capacities in the group work center's master data. Then in the project builder we use the fields Number of individual capacities and Calculation key to get the duration. These loads from the network order are considered as planned loads on the work centers. We modified the List Profile (which is actually Overall profile in SPRO - Production - Capacity Requirements Planning) in the Project Profile. By this we got the capacity levelling screen from the project planning board (Goto - Capacity Levelling). Here we are able to dispatch and sequence these network loads against the existing production orders and planned orders. Later by using mass change we are able to remove these planned loads from the activities, without having to deallocate them from the capacity levelling screen.
Thanks,
Pratap.
