Re-do a flavor if a custom field/tab is added to the screen in Personas 3.0

Hi,

A flavor for a transaction code is designed and in place, and in case if a new custom field/tab is added, the flavor gets overwritten with the new changes. Is there a possibility that we can retain the same flavor and only do necessary changes to the custom field/tab.

Can you describe in more detail what you mean by "if a new custom field/tab is added, the flavor gets overwritten"? In my experience your desired behaviour - retain the same flavor and only do necessary changes to the custom field/tab - is exactly what happens.

Hi Steve,

We are on Personas 3.0 SP02 (Kernel patch level - 329).

We have designed a flavor for a transaction. Later based on business requirements we have added a custom field using ABAP development in the tab (that is being displayed in the flavor and not hidden in Personas) in SAP Standard GUI screen.

Upon addition of custom fields, we found that the changes made to the flavor has been overwritten and the original screen is being displayed. In  that should we re-do the flavors on addition of a field.
