What is the importance of CJB2

Dear Experts,

Let us assume a settlement rule is assigned in a project profile. With this Project profile a project is created.

Before running the settlement why should i run CJB2 tcode.

Already my settlement rule is in my profile as explained above.

Hi Mahesh,

In the project profile you have settlement profile and settlement rule strategy.

Neither settlement profile, nor settlement rule strategy is the equivalent for the settlement rule.

The strategy in particular takes a number of master data parameters to determine the settlement rule.

It can also include a user exit.

Therefore you need to execute the process of settlement rules generation, when all required attributes are in place.

The settlement rule strategy does not guarantee you that the outcome will be successful, the rules might not be generated.

System does not trigger this rule generation process automatically.  The only exception is the settlement to AuC with IM profile upon Release status assignment.

You can force the settlement rules maintenance prior to Release of WBS with a user status configuration.
