Hello Friends

Can i get a Portal Installation Guide. Want to know which all steps should be carried out at the time of instaltion of Portal.

Hello Ashish,

You need to use standards Netweaver installation guides for this purpose.

Before installation EP you need to install Netweaver with minimum JAVA stack.

Check Netweaver installation guides:

Thanks for the info, but no such special Guide for Portal installation is available on

www.service.sap.com/instguides

If you have some document for steps and which al components will require please do send .

Hi Ashish Kumar,

If you have EP6 master DVD,Start Installation by clicking sapinst.exe

You need to have Admnistrator username/Password.

See the installation details using System Analyzer - See SAP Note 770702

If there is no .err files in System Analyzer,the installation is Successfull.

Login to the Portal : http://<PORTAL_MACHINE_NAME>:<PORT_NUMBER>/irj

and check the Portal.

Download and install the required patches from Service Market Place.

All DI's should be stopped when Patching. Once Central Instance and One node should be up and running rest should be stopped.
