Technical Monitoring: Not able to set template to host. LMDB? Agents?

Hello community,

I am trying to configure a Managed System (Technical Monitoring) in SOLMAN 7.1 SP12 and unfortunately I am not able to set a template to the hosts of this system.

I am able to monitor SAP and DB, but not the hosts.

In LMDB I can see the type of OS in the Host, but SOLMAN_SETUP does not allow me to choose one of the templates, as in the printscreen attached to this post.

SLD also has the right OS information.

Is there a configuration I need to check? Any note or KBA related?

Adding the solman hosts in scope will sometimes help

So, select the system you want to monitor and the solman system itself

Hello,

Can advise the product type that you are trying to monitor?

From what I can see its a HP-UX 11.31 & this is supported for SP12.

Are you the Diagnostics relevant flag is ticked?

Here is LMDB screen.

I updated ST_CONT, but with no success.
I think Host Agent (running) is not feeding SOLMAN/LMDB properly.

Hi Jean,

Is your MSS fully green? In MSS step 8 : Check Configuration, are you seeing any errors? It usually happens because of incomplete data supplied to LMDB.

Please check below points

1. Update your host agent to the latest patch.

2. Update your LM-Service component in Solution manager.

3. Update your monitoring content

Can you please check following SAP note:-

2174992 - Missing Installed Product Detail in Assign Templates Screen

Hi Jean,

This usually happens when the monitoring content is not up to date, please update to the latest in Step 2.7 of tech mon.

Afterwards, please try to apply templates once more.
