SSO and freehand SQL when aquiring data from SAP ERP using JCO

Hi,

is it possible to have SSO (SingleSignOn) set up when using Freehand SQL and one of the SAP ERP (SAP JCO) drivers?

No, this is not possible today. This support is expected with managed connections support for FHSQL connections.

Have you considered creating a Universe? You can use credential mapping or saved user/password in the connection to achieve SSO.

Hi,

OK thanks for the feedback. We are currently using SAP authentication (based on SAP BW)  on or BI 4.1 platform. I guess this is supported. To my understanding we then need to create a new connection on the BI platform based on the SAP ERP Driver and also a universe using this connection.

Yes, you can logon to BI platform via SAP Authentication and that would work for SAP Lumira documents as well.
