Some Fields not visible in the Imported Idoc structure ( eg.- SEGNAM)

Scenario: Idocflatfile to Idoc ( HRMD_A06)

Issue: Some of the fields in the Infotype segments of both source and target structures are not visible after importing to PI ( eg. SEGNAM). The Source Idoc  has been imported as .dtd ( as no direct access to source SAP system) and the target as an Idoc.

Explanation found:

• these fields belong to the internal data structure of idoc segments it will not be visible in repository

Question: I need these fields to be visible as I have some transformation rules based on this. These fields have been implemented as mapping in the TIBCO middleware and now we must handle it in PI using Idocs.

Any thoughts how to make them visible post importing to ESR.

Segnam field will be in EDI_DC40

Hi Raghuraman,

Nope they are not in the EDI_DC40. These fields do not get imported and are only populated at runtime from SAP system with values.

I need to import these fields as well while importing the IDoc structure. Could be we need some changes/modifications in the SAP system using ABAP to allow the import of these fields.

These fields will be standard and will updated by SAP.

Any specific reason for udpating.

They will updated automatically,No need of any specific mapping.
