While creating material by mm01, unit of measure not getting selected, already checked material type & field reference but still facing the issue

Error message ?, By the way i dont' think so it could happened without making any change via consultant to standard material types.

this happens just for a certain material type or any material type?

As I in general assume that SAP did not such an absurd delivery to the customer it must have been caused by a change made from a consultant.

So you should check the change history to the field reference if there were recent changes.

Or alternative look for transports in SE10.

maybe someone created a transaction/screen  variant in SHD0.
