BO 3.1 Webi Report

Hi

When I am building new webi report in 3.1, it showing error message "Unexpected error. If you cannot reconnect to the server, close Web Intelligence and start again". Please advise, how to resolve this issue.

Hi Gurvinderpal Singh,


if the server is on different network add hosts entry of server's external IP, try to ping the server using its hostname and make sure it is pinging.

if the ping doesn't happen then it may have firewall enabled then turn off the firewall and try.

Have you asked your IT team to rest the servers? 

Have you asked other users if they are also getting same issue?

Has anything with your network &/or PC changed ?

Another users also facing same problem. All the servers are up and running.

There is no any network changes. The only O/S patch release.

     Have you tried accessing BOE XI 3.1 while on the Server to make sure all services are working properly?   If everything work while using IE on the server then it MUST be something related to your network / OS Patch / browser.

What is the exact version of XI 3.1 you running ? (patch)

Do you realize that BOE XI 3.1 has ended support on Dec 31st 2015.

it's installed on Red hat. We are using 3.1 SP5.

Yes, I know, support ended.

    Do you have access to a Windows PC/Server that is on the same IP sub-net as the BOE XI 3.1 Server that you test using browser.

You could install Chrome on the RedHat server and still test the functionality of BOE XI 3.1

      You need to get your IT Team involved, you have some sort firewall &/or network PORT issues that need to configured properly on your PC.
