Access to old documents after HR replication

Hallo experts,

a customer operates a SAP SRM 7.13 and want to replace an existing organizational structure by a new organizational structure. The new organizational structure is to be created through a replication of the HR. Here are a few questions:

1.) Can you replace a manually created organizational structure through an organizational structure of the HR?
2.) Could the old documents (for example, shopping carts) after replication of the organizational structure of the HR be edited by the user?
3.) Is it possible to establish the link after the replication of the old documents (for example, shopping carts) to the users again?
4.) Which procedure regarding the old documents (for example, shopping carts) is recommended?
5.) Are there reports or tools to make the link between the old documents and users again?

For your answers thank you in advance.

Best wishes

Frank

Hi Frank,

1, For the first question, I think it might be possible, but might have some inconsistency data after the replication. For example, we never recommend changing organizations replicated from HR system since any manual change will prevent or affect the new update from HR side for this organization. So the opposite should be similar.

2, Of course, it will affect all the open documents which are created based on this organization.
That's the reason why it is never allowed to change/delete/move user/org when it has open documents.

3, As I know, it is only possible to replace the old user with a new valid one in open documents. This can be realized via Z-reports in notes 1507030 & 1706323.

4, it would be better to archive all the related open document to avoid inconsistency, or you can use Z-report mentioned in Q3 to replace the old user with a new one. But for organization, you have to manually change it in documents.

5, similar to point 3. If you are using SRM713, you may activate a new functionality which has same functionality as the Z-reports. https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/x/_4j3GQ/
