Cant connect diagnostic agent

Good day

We have an existing Solution Manager system installed. Used before to do MOPZ and generate EWA. But it seems that there is some outstanding config and I am attempting to get the Diagnostic agents connected to the Solution Manager. In the System Preparation I am in the phase 5.6 Connect Diagnostics Agents to Solution Manager. After hitting "Connect" it lists all the agents with a status "The agent connection has been triggered. Check again later". This has been the situation for about half a day now. So, I am not sure where to begin checking what could be wrong here. Any input is appreciated.

Try restarting the SAP Solution Manager.

In fact I just restarted the Java stack and all the agents were connected. Thanks for you help. How do i allocate points?
