Bacground Job for IW28 T code

Dear Sir,

Is there any possibility to set background job for IW28 T code.

we need to refresh the IW28 report screen automatically for every minute based on the background job.

If it is possible guide me how to set this background job.

Ganesh,

• Background jobs are not meant for List reports. Even though keep-on executing as per schedule it won't trigger the screens.
• I guess, what you need is a custom program resembling IW28 with auto-refresh coding. Contact your ABAPer.

hey, Do you really need a background job for this? Have you looked at just clicking on the refresh button (third from left) or F8 to refresh the report.

Dear ganesh,

yes you can do it.

1. Execute T-code IW28

2. save it and give it a varient name and description.

3. Go to T-code SM36 and save it.

4. Here provide program name as RIQMEL20 and assign varient name same as you have saved.

5. Schedule your background job.

6. Check in T-code SM37.

Hi Sameer,

I tried this solution now in my development server.

as per your instruction I have created the variant and assign the same in SM36. and I checked in SM37 also job gets scheduled.

but when I opened the IW28 screen and created one notification using IW21 and checked IW28 not getting updated automatically.

please guide me

You need to give time interval of hourly or specify the duration for it.
