File Channels getting locked

Hi Expert,

We are having around 700 POS channels (File) running in production (PO 7.4), which polls data from store ftp and send to

ECC. Now for the past two months we have been facing issue with those channels very frequently as channels are

getting locked (though from outside it looks fine/green) and not polling data until we restart those channels.

Could you please let me know the possible reason and how to solve this permanently.

Hi Anirban,

Check with your basis team the memory consumption, may be your PI has memory performance problems.

Hi Raghuraman,

In PI 7.0 i had several jdbc and file channels that they was getting locked once or twice times per a week, mainly the most used, with a minor poll interval or with messages over 2 Mb, when the basis team increase the hw memory and the java nodes the problem didn't appear any more. I didn't know if in PI 7.4 the problem still persists but i think it is a good idea to do a memory tracing.

Unlock the channels and increase the memory size As Inaki suggested.
