Storage type in creation of Transfer Order

Hello,

I have a question regarding the Storage Type in TO, and I want to know if it is possible,during the creation of the TO the fields from where the materials will be picked can auto populate and not be introduced manually?

Hi

As already stated, this can be achieved via a removal search strategy (txn OMLY)

You can have a stock removal strategy (A) for a specific group of materials, a generic strategy for all materials or a mix and match. You can also maintain the same for stock placement (E).

For a group of materials, you will need to create a storage type indicator and populate the appropriate field within the table. You will also need to maintain the same indicator within the WM1 tap of the material master. When the TO is created then for stock removal, the system will check the material master, search the table for the appropriate storage type indicator and apply the relevant search. For a generic strategy, you do not need the storage type indicator.

Hello Andrea,

First you need define the the Storage type Indicators and assign them in your Material Master WM1 view and then define the Search type Strategies for the Storage type, Storage Section and Storage Bin type [If Needed].

In the Storage type Strategies you can define your desired Storage types in the desired Order. Then the Storage type would automatically Populate while the TO Creation.
