Hi All
First time poster here.
I was trying to upgrade our Netweaver server from 7.1CE to 7.5 Java only. It was listed in one of the Notes to upgrade Kernel to 7.45.
In doing so I downloaded SAPEXEDB_100-80000795.SAR and SAPEXE_100-80000796.SAR, unpacked and put them in "<Drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64". After doing this the SAP management console was in Yellow State and Further reading mentioned the Kernel Level and disp+work should be of same patch.
I followed by downloading dw_114-80000796.sar and putting all the contents again <Drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64. This completely back fired with SAPSID_00 services not coming up and also manament console not showing any SAP services.
I restored the NTAMD64 folder with older contents still of no help.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Dear Bajaj,
Could you please check Windows Services related to SAP. Also check logon userid and passwords are correct at these services ?
You may need to re-create services by manually,
1 – run “sapstartsrv -t” command where your SAP EXECUTABLE files located.
2 – Input the releated informations to screen which opened after the command
3 – Complete the operation with OK button
Notes ;
- If you had registry problems then you can use “Register COM Typelibrary” option.
- You have to give “START” profile location for the area “Profile”
- You should use the user SAPService<SID> for the area “User”
If you want to delete releated SAP Service you can use the following command ;
“sapstartsrv.exe -u”
Now just check the SERVICE list…
Best Regards

Hi Balaji.
Have you installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ?
refer the Microsoft site or on after extraction the kernel sar file you can find the this package.

Hello Rupesh,
You need to check whether you have the sapnwrfc.dll file in the file system. It might be that the file got corrupted (you can also check in the Windows Event Viewer for application errors).
I faced a similar issue (with another library). In my case, I just replaced the library with the correct one and the system could be brought up (and appearing again in SAP MMC).
You can also read the following SAP notes:
1740754 - sapnwrfc.dll(.so, .sl) missing in ASCII (nUC) kernel archive
1025361 - Installation, Support and Availability of the SAP NetWeaver RFC Library
Be sure that the library is located in your directory path specified by the OS-dependent environment variable (PATH).
I hope this helps,
Cris
Hi Rupesh,
The important thing is that you have the library in the path. Please check whether you have the file (sapnwrfc.dll in the path) and the file is not corrupted (you can check the properties of the file and see the "Details" tab - do you have the same version as the kernel you are using?).
Cheers,
Cris
Hello Christiano,
Little progress here, I downloaded the sapnwrfc and Set the path variable.
That Made SAPSID_00 service started running but SAPSID_01 is still giving issues.
Error in Event Viewer is Initialization failed. Service not started. [D:/depot/bas/745_REL/src/proj/ntserv/ntservmain.cpp 1573]
I checked in D but there is no depot folder in D drive.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your help mate on this, I unpacked the SAPEXE patch 100 again and it does contain that sapnwrfc.dll file.
I have put all the contents from SAPEXE_100-80000796.SAR and SAPEXEDB_100-80000795.SAR
at X:\usr\sap\SID\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64
Still the same issue. The dynamic link library sapnwrfc.dll could not be loaded. DO I need to set up the path variable to point to above directory?
Thanks
Another thing to add is, we recently installed JDK (Latest Version) on the server.
Do you think that is the problem? The system was running even after JDK was installed.

Hi Shi
Thanks for your response.
I have restarted server quite a few times with no help.
Also I am not aware of WORK folder, sorry but I am new in Installtion side of SAP.
Also I noticed following error in event logs if that helps.
Initialization failed. Service not started. [D:/depot/bas/745_REL/src/proj/ntserv/ntservmain.cpp 1573]
Thanks
Rupesh
