Import System Failed in SUSE 12 - unhandled exception: Cannot load libssl.so.0.9.8

Dear SAP Experts,

I have tried to migrate my ECC system on DB2 to ECC on Hana. In middle of in process, error message below was appeared.

An error occurred while processing option SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA > EHP6 for SAP ERP 6.0 On HANA > SAP HANA Database > System Copy > Target System > Distributed System > Based on AS ABAP > Database Instance( Last error reported by the step: Error during execution of HdbCmdClazz 'INSTALL_SERVER' : class com.sap.hdb.sl.lib.utils.cmd.clazz.CmdClazzParameterFactory, parameters received. It seems libssl.so.0.9.8 is not installed in Suse 12. I have checked in /usr/lib64 folder, i cant found libssl.so.0.9.8, but i found libssl3.so.

Could you help to guide me how to fix this error.

Hi Graham & Thorsten,

Thanks four help. After take a look again in my system. There is different file location for libssl and libcrypto. Based on reference of this link , i create wrong softlink for libssl and libcrypto. In folder /usr/lib64 has similar files like libssl3.so and libk5crypto.so.3.1, but actually these items are not correct. The correct files were located in /lib64 instead of /usr/lib64. So i create link like below:

/usr/lib64/libssl.so.0.9.8 -> /lib64/libssl.so.1.0.0

/usr/lib64/libssl.so.0.9.8 -> /lib64/libssl.so.1.0.0

Now the installation was passed, but it stopped again due to wrong migration key . I will try to generate the correct key and continue the import process.

Hi Husin,

    thanks for the prompt however both the libssl and the libcrypto must be softlinked.  I think you have typed the same line twice:

ln -s /lib64/libssl.so.1.0.0 /usr/lib64/libssl.so.0.9.8

ln -s /lib64/libcrypto.so.1.0.0 /usr/libcrypto.so.0.9.8

Hi Husin,

You are going to have to install the Linux RPM for this, which I believe is the libopensll0_9_8-9.9.8h=30.27.11.i565.rpm on a VMWare (Intel) environment.  Definitely look for the Open SSL library.

Exactly. If I remember correctly with SLES12 "libopenssl1_0_0" is installed as default. Have a look for the 0_9_8 version of your platform.
