BOM- tracking changes made

Former Member

Hello guys!

I will need your help to find out how can I see all the changes that someone has done to a bill of material- I've already tried with CS80 but unfortunately I didn't find what I was searching for.

I have the fallowing situation- one supplier was not able to see the demand into SAP for a component because, I suspect, the BOM was not accurate.

Today someone modified that BOM and the demand is visible and accurate. I need to discover if the component was or wasn't correctly integrated into SAP, and if it was, why the demand wasn't released correctly.

Million thanks for any advice!

Hello Andreea,

If you do not use ECM (Engineering Change Management) to monitor changes to your BOM master data it is going to be difficult to track .

If you do not use ECM try transactions CS80, CS81.

Another way is also to use program RSSCD100 explained in one of the thread I have listed below.

If you are not able to find what you want you could request a BASIS consultant in your team to check system audit logs to find out who accessed transaction CS02 in the last few days to change the BOM.

Please see below threads discussing same issue,

Hope this helps.

Hello Ameya,

Many thanks for the answer. I'll try today in the very morning .

One more thing, because I'm not familiar with ECM- how is supposed to be used?

Many thanks!
