No available stock check for MRP-generated STR

I have an STR being generated via MRP for replenishment from a 3PL warehouse (storage location) to my plant (storage location). In turn, my 3PL is being replenished via MRP using traditional external procurement.

I'm finding that the 3PL-->Plant MRP run is failing to check on available stock in the 3PL. For example, say there is zero stock for a material in the 3PL warehouse. Yet a requirement for the stock in the plant exists, and MRP is generating the STR even though there is no available stock in the source 3PL warehouse.

Can somebody guide me on what needs to be done to get this fixed?

Hi Vlad

MRP does not check the availability on the source storage location before the decision of which source of supply will be used. That means, MRP will create a stock transfer even if there is not enough quantity on the source storage location.

You can try to implement this logic using a BAdI, so please check the document .
