Navigation in Fiori apps using Layout editor.

Hello Moderators, SCN users and Reporters,

I am trying to learn SAP Fiori using Web IDE and I have a simple question is there a way to create a navigation link in Fiori apps in the Layout Editor

using drag and drop and no coding? I searched but only found code based approaches.

Those who report this post and dear moderators who delete it, FYI i did not find a link i am looking for, would be grateful if you share a link where i find my answer and then delete the post.

Thanks,

Prasenjit

No, there is no option to define all things necessary for navigation/routing via graphical tools. You can define your routes via the application descriptor editor and add controls for triggering the navigation (e.g. a button or a link) via the layout editor to an xml view/fragment, but the action which uses the router to navigate has to be implemented manually. If you not familiar with the concept you can check the Navigation and Routing Tutorial.
