Determination of Workflow Initiator's Manager

Hello,

I am using the standard accounting document park/release functionality for posting parked accounting documents, everything is working well and as expected, however is there a way to have the Release task sent to the Document Creator's direct manager? I can't seem to find anything relevant in the configuration, only that it can be assigned to a certain position/job...etc., but nothing that includes a relationship between positions.

Hello,

You can use the 168 rule to find the direct manager. Try it out in PFAC_DIS.

You may have to copy the standard workflow to a custom one in order to implement it.

Ok sounds good, but what about selecting the agents for the task? in this case the agents can be different depending on the workflow initiator (like if I initialize the workflow the task will be sen tto my manager, while if Joe in accounting does the task will be sent to his manager), should I (is it safe to) assign all possible agents of the task?

Hello,

You can set it to General Task, that's what I usually do.

It will find the Manager of whoever initiated the workflow, whether it be you or Joe or anyone else.
