Dear Firends,
I have a question about SOLMAN and MOPZ.
Is it possible to upgrade a system from R/3 4.7 to ERP 6.0 EHP6 without using MOPZ?
Do we need a stack.xml file?
Is it mandatory to have a stack.xml file?
We have downloaded all DVDs needed for the upgrade and we don't want to install support packages stacks.
Please share the information you have.
Many thanks.
Regards,
Zobair
Hi Zobair.
You have to use the either Solution Manager (MPOZ) or Maintenance Planner to generate the stack.xml file.
Kindly refer the SCN thread about the same query - Using SUM without stack xml? | SCN

Hi
You can use the Maintenance Planner to generate the stack.xml file and all upgrade files in your download basket(require SAP S-user id ). kindly refer the SCN wiki link

Dear Friends,
The solution describe in the SAP note 1711813 can meet our requirements (we are using SOLMAN SPS25) but SOLMAN is not yet configured.
To be able to do the configuration, we have to install note 1468591 using SNOTE and it's not possible to do it because SAPOSS connection is not working:
Any idea about how we can do the configuration without SNOTE (or without SOLMAN_SETUP)?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Zobair
Hi
You can implement the SAP Notes without OSS connection(If you are having few notes lessthan 5 to 10) Kindly follow the SCN thread.
