No controlling area has been assigned to company code XXXX

Hi Gurus

When I am posting GL transaction in FB50, I get error message "No controlling area has been assigned to company code XXXX", Please help me on this ... as I don't want to assign controlling area to company code at this point of time.

Hi

it seems you are in new gl and may be you did real time fico integration.

it's mandatory to assign. I would say assign it now. It won't harm. Don't create gl as cost element, it won't hit CO

Did you found a solution to your problem. Because I have the same error while posting a document FPE1. Khnowing that i have already made the settings on the OX19 and OKKP.

It is also possible because of the program error which can be resolved by note:

1728086 - Error KI 026 in company code w/o controlling area

Hi Thaj,

check table entry in T001 for the company code involved and verify that content of field KOKFI does not indicate that a controlling area is assigned. If value is 1 or 2 then system will expect a controlling area assignment so change it back to 0 to fix.
